How long does a Ghost immobiliser install take?
Most cars are in and out in half a day. Here's exactly what happens during a Ghost install at our Cambridge workshop.
Typical timeline
- Drop off: 9:00–9:30am.
- Vehicle inspection & install plan: 30 mins.
- Trim removal & CAN access: 45 mins.
- Ghost installation & loom integration: 90 mins.
- PIN sequence setup with you: 15 mins.
- Diagnostic pass & TASSA registration: 30 mins.
- Hand back: typically 1:00–2:30pm.
What you need to bring
- Both keys.
- V5C (logbook) for the TASSA registration.
- An idea of which buttons you want to use for the PIN.
Can you wait?
Yes — there's a waiting area at the workshop with wifi and coffee. Or we're a 10-minute Uber from Cambridge city centre if you'd rather have lunch in town. Most customers head into Cambridge and we text you when it's ready.
